Dye-VL Photorejuvenation or Laser Facial

Photorejuvenation is the improvement of various skin problems using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and or laser. Also called photorejuvenation, this treatment is ideal for damage caused by the sun such as dark spots (hyperpigmentation) and broken capillaries. The degree of success depends on skin type and the type of problems that are being treated. Healthcare at the Grove uses technology by Alma™, a leader in the IPL and laser arena. Our staff is highly skilled in the use of the vascular and pigmented lesion laser treatment as well as being experts in determining the right candidates for the procedure.
Age spots, or hyperpigmentation, occur as a result of damage from sun exposure. They are usually located in sun exposed areas such as the face, hands, shoulders, arms, and scalp. This problem is treated by a variety of methods including our Harmony XL PRO laser system from Alma™ available at Healthcare at the Grove.

Leg Veins

Getting rid of unwanted leg veins can be a three-step process. Larger raised varicosities should be taken care of first by Endovenous Ablation procedures or Phlebectomy. After these veins are treated, a combination of sclerotherapy and laser leg vein treatments clean up the smaller blue, purple or red vessels that are troublesome for many men and women alike.
Two or more treatments of laser or sclerotherapy may be required to achieve the desired effect.

Clear Lift - Non-Ablative Skin Resurfacing with Laser

For those clients concerned with acne, surgical scarring, stretch marks, fine lines, wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, or melasma (patchy, brown discoloration), non-ablative fractional laser skin resurfacing is an excellent treatment choice. The non-ablative fractional laser skin resurfacing performed with the Harmony XL PRO laser handpiece from Alma™ is the most advanced technology available for skin rejuvenation and resurfacing.
Wrinkles or fine lines occur as a result of numerous factors including genetics and skin type, smoking history, degree of previous sun exposure, and age. Healthcare at the Grove offers an extensive array of treatments to improve this very common and visible problem. We offer injectables, photorejuvenation, and laser facials.
This technology is the perfect choice for the treatment of:
- Stretchmarks
- Acne and surgical scars
- Eliminates fine lines and wrinkles, crow’s feet
- Blotchy skin- Melasma
- Improves skin tone, texture, and pore size
The non-ablative laser resurfacing procedure works by treating tiny columns of tissue within the larger treatment zone, leaving some areas untouched by the laser. By treating only a portion of the tissue, damage can be effectively reduced or eliminated while resulting in far less discomfort and downtime, and far quicker healing time, than any other procedure. Most patients have four treatment procedures spaced one month apart. These treatments can be customized to treat specific problems on the face and body and healing time is variable.

Tattoo Removal

What seemed like a great idea a few years back may not be so hot today. If you are looking for a fresh start without a tattoo, laser tattoo removal may be your solution. Healthcare at the Grove offers advanced technology from Alma™ to treat the most intricate and colorful tattoos.

Tattoos are created by injecting colored pigment into small deep holes made in the skin. Regardless of whether a tattoo artist or an untrained individual injects the pigment, the marks or designs are relatively permanent.

For years, the Q-switched Nd:YAG has been the most frequently used laser for tattoo removal. Healthcare at the Grove uses the Q-switched Nd:YAG laser available on the Harmony XL PRO laser system. We can effectively treat dark tattoo inks, specifically black and dark blue. Our 532nm KTP laser is often used to treat red, yellow and orange pigments.
The High-Power Q-Switched 1064/532nm Module on the Harmony XL PRO produces significantly higher power output than other aesthetic medical laser devices. This new advancement in tattoo removal technology has reduced the number of treatments, offers more consistent clearing, and has less chance of scarring.

It’s never too late to get tattoo removal! Don’t wait to begin taking the first steps toward freshening up your image. Make an appointment with us to get the results you’ve been looking for!

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is performed by selectively treating the hair follicle without causing thermal damage to the surrounding tissue. Laser light is absorbed by melanin which is the target in hair. The light is converted to heat and then the heat damages the bulb disabling the hair structure. The heat loosens the hair and disables the cells responsible for growing new hair. Since pigment is necessary to treat effectively, we cannot treat white, gray, red, or light-blonde hair.
Hair has 3 growing cycles: Anagen, Catagen, and Telogen. Laser hair removal is most effective in the Anagen phase (the active growth phase) because the hair then contains an abundance of melanin and cells are rapidly dividing. It is impossible to treat all the viable hair follicles in one session. To be effective, a series of 4-6 treatments are necessary. To target the active growth cycles, the treatments are spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. During this time, it is important to shave or clip the new hair growth between hair removal treatments. No waxing, plucking or hair removal creams should be used since the hair shaft must be intact for the light energy to be transmitted to the hair bulb.

Almost all areas such as face, back, chest, bikini area, shoulders, legs and arms can be treated effectively, quickly and safely. Call us today to schedule your laser hair removal consultation and experience the freedom of no more waxing, tweezing or shaving!
